It’s one of the most common questions among Snapers: “if I update the app, will I be charged again? Will I lose my videos?”. The short answer: no and no. Let us explain.
Updating Never Costs Money
Your subscription is linked to your account and the store where you paid (App Store, Google Play or web), not to the app version. When you update, you simply log in (if prompted) and your plan stays active just as it was. Updating never generates a new charge.
Your Synced Videos Are Untouched
Videos that have already been synced are stored in your Snap360 cloud and are not deleted when you update. Even so, we recommend a good practice before installing any update:
Go to Content management › Offline videos.
Tap Sync now and wait until nothing is left pending.
Update the app with peace of mind.
Updating Is Not the Same as Uninstalling
Updating (from the App Store or Google Play): safe. You keep your session, plan and content.
Uninstalling: the unsynced videos in the Local Gallery live on the device, so uninstalling the app does lose them. Always sync before uninstalling or switching devices.
If what you’re going to do is get a new phone, we have a specific guide: How to switch phones without losing anything.
